How it works

A realistic path to a contract

Timelines depend on the programme, your national delegation and ESA's own schedule. The months below are a typical range, not a promise.

months to confirm

  1. Weeks 1–2

    Fit check

    Technology readiness, which programme fits (GSTP, OSIP, Business Applications, ESA BIC) and what your national delegation supports.

  2. Month 1–2

    Delegation and partners

    Letters of support, consortium partners and the industrial case.

  3. Month 2–3

    Proposal

    Technical, management and financial parts written to the evaluation criteria, with a red-team review.

  4. After evaluation

    Negotiation and contract

    Clarifications, negotiation meeting and contract signature, then delivery support if needed.
